"I am so glad we found A+ painting. Chris and his team painted our whole house in Gainesville (interior) in under 3 days — ceilings, walls, doors, trim. They were punctual, priced right, and everything was done perfectly. They are really…"

Chris Combs founded A+ Painting and Repair in 2018. He works every quote, every walkthrough, and every day on site.

Every job starts and ends with Chris. He walks the property, writes the quote, and stays on site through the final touch-up.

Three jobs, three corners of the trade.

How a good paint job actually happens.
Three pieces of how we approach a job. Not slogans. Specifics.
Most paint failures start in prep
That is the part most people do not see, and the part most cheap jobs skip. Failed exterior paint usually means a wash that left mildew under the surface, caulking applied over still-wet joints, or topcoat rolled onto bare wood that should have been primed. None of it is glamorous. None of it is visible the day the job wraps.
It shows up in year three when the south side starts to blister.
So most of our time on any given job goes to the parts no one photographs. Pressure washing slow enough to actually lift the dirt. Scraping where paint is starting to fail, not just where it has already fallen off. Caulking and letting it set. Spot-priming bare wood and any stained surfaces. It adds time. Quality jobs hold for seven to ten years instead of three.
Painting and repair under one team
A fresh coat of paint over rotten fascia or cracked drywall is cosmetic, not structural. If the repair has to happen anyway, doing it as part of the same job is more honest than scheduling around two contractors and hoping their dates line up.
We handle small fascia and soffit replacements, drywall patching, and trim work as part of the same crew. Bigger structural work, we tell you up front it is outside our scope and refer.
"Chris and his A+ crew did a fantastic job. It transformed the whole look, we love it. They were punctual, detailed and his price was extremely fair."
What a day on a job looks like
Drop cloths down first. Furniture moved or covered. Cut corners and trim with a brush, then roll the field of each wall. Trim and doors are a separate pass in a higher sheen, brushed by hand once walls have set.
At the end of every day drop cloths get folded, floors get swept, and the trash gets hauled. Your home stays livable while we work.
