About 15 miles west of our Gainesville base. Newberry is part of our regular rotation: full-house exterior repaints, fence and barn staining, and interior refresh work in the Country Way subdivision and surrounding rural properties.
Housing stock, landmarks, and the kinds of jobs that come up most often here.
Country Way subdivision has 1990s and 2000s suburban single-family homes. Older parts of Newberry have 1970s and 1980s ranch homes and country farmhouses on larger lots. Newer construction along SR-26 tends to lean modern-farmhouse style with metal accents. Vinyl and Hardie-style siding are both common.
Full exterior repaints (less tree canopy means more sun exposure than in town), fence and gate staining, and whole-house interior repaints in Country Way and similar subdivisions.
Less tree canopy means more direct sun on the south and west sides of the home. Cheap exterior paint there can fail in 3 to 4 years; quality paint with proper prep holds 8 to 10. We pick UV-resistant systems and put extra time into the sun-exposed elevations. The same logic applies to fences and outbuildings on open rural lots.
