Exterior Painting in Gainesville.

Full exterior repaints built for Florida weather. UV that crushes regular paint, afternoon storms, and humidity that finds every gap. We prep, prime, and paint with products that hold their color and seal for years, not seasons.

Scope

Everything in the scope.

What gets covered in every exterior job. Itemized, in writing, before we start.

01

Pressure wash

Always included. Paint will not bond to dirt or mildew, so the wash is part of every exterior job.

02

Scrape and sand

Failing paint removed, edges sanded smooth before any primer or topcoat.

03

Caulk and prime

Joints sealed, bare wood and stains spot-primed so the topcoat reads even.

04

Two coats body and trim

Body sprayed or rolled depending on substrate. Trim and accents brushed for control.

05

Fascia, soffit, doors

Included when in scope. Repairs to rotted sections are a separate line item (see Fascia & Soffit Repair).

Method

How a exterior job runs with us.

Same sequence on every project. The owner is on site through all of it.

01Step
Walkthrough
Exterior survey: count windows, identify repairs, note color decisions, look for fascia or soffit damage.
02Step
Wash and scrape
Pressure wash, scrape failing paint, sand rough edges. The wash is a full day on most homes.
03Step
Caulk and prime
Seal joints, spot-prime bare wood and any stains that would bleed through paint.
04Step
Body coat one
First topcoat, sprayed or rolled depending on what the substrate calls for.
05Step
Body coat two + trim
Second body coat, then trim and accent colors brushed separately for control.
06Step
Final wash-down
Clean up overspray on hardscape, replace anything we moved, final walk with you.
Climate

Best painting season in Gainesville

Florida exterior paint lives or dies on when it goes on the house. Wrong season, even good paint peels in two years. We book around the weather so finishes cure right and last.

  • Spring (Mar to May): ideal. Low humidity, warm temps, dry stretches.
  • Summer (Jun to Sep): workable but tight. We work early mornings to noon and watch the radar for afternoon storms.
  • Fall (Oct to Nov): excellent. Humidity drops, storm risk drops, days are still long.
  • Winter (Dec to Feb): cold snaps slow things down. We schedule around forecasts and skip days under 50 degrees.

Work in progress

Three moments in an exterior repaint.

Wash, spray, finish. The wash is half the job; the paint is what most people see.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

01How long will a Florida exterior paint job last?
Seven to ten years for a proper job with quality paint and good prep. UV and humidity are the killers. Cheap paint or skipped prep cuts that in half.
02Will you paint stucco?
Yes. Stucco needs a masonry primer if it has been raw or repaired, then an elastomeric or quality acrylic topcoat that flexes with the substrate. We pick the system per situation.
03Is pressure washing part of the job?
Always. Paint will not bond to dirt or mildew. The wash is included in every exterior paint quote, not a separate line item. Standalone pressure washing without paint is its own service.
04What about wood rot in the fascia or trim?
We catch it on the walkthrough. Small repairs we handle ourselves (see Fascia and Soffit Repair); larger structural work we flag and refer if it is beyond paint-and-trim scope.
05Can you match my existing color?
Yes. We bring a paint chip from your home to the store for a custom match, or use a color scanner for an exact read.
06Do you do exterior house painting in Gainesville?
Yes. Exterior house painting in Gainesville is one of our core services. We handle full exterior repaints on stucco, siding, and wood homes, with the owner on-site every day. If you are looking for local exterior house painters who prep properly and stand behind the work, that is the job we do.
